Temple Beth El is the only Jewish synagogue in Odessa, Texas, serving Odessa, Midland, and the surrounding areas in the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico.

"Beth El" is a Hebrew phrase meaning "House of God," where "beth" translates to "house" and "el" refers to the deity "El," signifying a divine dwelling place; it is often used in the Bible as the name of an ancient Israelite city considered a sacred site.

We are affiliated with both the Reform and Conservative movements.
